Bring The Vacation Vibes Home With Gray Malin’s New Hawaiian Photo Series

Say Aloha to some seriously escapist new art.

Acclaimed photographer Gray Malin, beloved for his aerial beach scenes and delightfully preppy aesthetic, has most recently set his sights on Hawaii – and he’s letting us take a visual piece of paradise home.

His latest photo series, Gray Malin at the Mauna Kea, whisks viewers away on a retro Hawaiian vacation to the historic Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, a legendary 1960s resort developed by Laurance S. Rockefeller. Featuring vibrant beach scenes, vintage surf boards, and, of course, some colorful cocktails, the photos capture an idyllic island lifestyle and the essence of a forever-summer.

“Working with the Mauna Kea for this project was a dream,” says Malin in a statement. “I have had my mind set on shooting this luxury resort for a while and it is incredible that we were able to make it happen during this unpredictable year. I was lucky enough to shoot the resort while it was closed down, giving me the opportunity to highlight the property’s iconic locations in the most serene fashion. I am very proud of how the historic hotel and the island of Hawai’i are celebrated in this series.”

As if you needed any more of a reason to brighten up your space with snaps from the series, the photographer is hosting an exclusive Friends and Family sale on his website from February 11 to February 16th, offering major savings on framed prints with the discount code FRIENDS.
